Research has consistently shown that one of the most effective ways to reduce re-offending and the associated costs to the state and society is to bring ex-prisoners into sustainable employment. There are positive examples of large commercial employers who engage with the criminal justice system and support ex-offenders into employment; however, these examples are isolated and there is significant potential for more.

Opportunity Unlocked is designing a highly scalable model to facilitate more employers to engage with prisons and prisoners in order to create such sustainable employment opportunities.
